We collect the following categories of information:

We do not knowingly collect any special categories of sensitive personal information unless you voluntarily include such information in your own resume text — in which case you are solely responsible for that decision.

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Save, display, and let you edit your resume data across devices
• Generate PDF exports of your resume
• Process payments and manage subscriptions (via Stripe)
• Communicate with you about your account, service updates, or support
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues
• Comply with legal obligations
• Improve and maintain the Service

Legal bases for processing (GDPR/UK GDPR): Contract, Legitimate interests, Consent (where required), Legal obligation.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

• Service providers: Supabase (database & authentication), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), Google and Meta (only if you log in via those providers)
• Legal authorities, if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property
• A successor entity, if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale

Your information may be processed and stored in countries outside your own, depending on where our service providers operate their infrastructure. Where we transfer personal data from the EU/EEA or UK to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), as implemented by our service providers.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide you the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records for legal, tax, or accounting purposes.

You have the right to: access, rectify, erase (“right to be forgotten”), restrict or object to processing, data portability, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority (in Poland: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, UODO).

You have the right to know, delete, correct your personal information, opt out of sale/sharing (we do not sell or share your data), limit use of sensitive personal information, and non-discrimination for exercising your rights. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals.

You have the right to know why your information is collected, access and correct it, expect appropriate safeguards, and file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

You can request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time by emailing contact@resume-raccoon.com with the subject line “Delete my account.” We will process your request and permanently delete your data within 30 days, except for records we are legally required to retain for legal, tax, or accounting purposes.

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 16 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We use essential cookies necessary for authentication and the basic functioning of the Service. We may use limited analytics cookies. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and Row Level Security policies on our database. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting a notice on the Service or by emailing you.
